SEVEN LAKES TOUR

By Seven Lakes Travels

General Description

The seven lakes of Ausangate is one of the most beautiful landscapes of the region. It is located in the Andes of Peru, within the Vilcanota chain of snow-capped mountains. This destination stands out for its stunning natural beauty and vibrant colored waters.

The lagoons are located on the slopes of the snow-capped Apu Ausangate, surrounded by other majestic mountains. Each one has unique shapes and shades, product of the thawing of the snow-capped Jampa, Tomasa and Maria, considered “daughters” of Ausangate in Andean mythology. Some lagoons also receive water from subway springs.

In addition to the stunning scenery, the area is home to a great variety of fauna, such as alpacas, llamas, ducks, Andean geese, and chinchillas. There are also thermal water pools, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the magic of the Andes.

Where are the 7 lagoons located?

The seven lakes are located in the district of Ocongate, a town located in the high Andean zone of Cusco, at more than 4,000 meters above sea level, in the town of Tinki. Finally, the community of Pacchanta is privileged to be surrounded by mountains and snow-capped mountains, in addition to having the seven lakes, which have a vast water resource vital for agriculture and livestock throughout the region of Cusco and other provinces. It is only 4 hours away in our tourist unit by the asphalted transoceanic road southeast of Vilcanota, in the Andes of Cusco.
